Veronique grew up in a small French Candian household in Sawinigan, Quebec in Canada. Her mother was a herpetologist and a modern pagan. It wasn’t a secret that her mother’s husband was not her father, they were married when Veronique was a year old, but it didn’t occur to her to ask her mother about her biological father until she was well into her teens. Her mother told her the truth, that she had a short fling with a man who she never saw again. She tried once when she was older to find out who he might have been, but cmae up with nothing. She conteded to not knowing, after all she had a father.

She’d always found joy in the wildnerness and the primal nature of the earth. She studied nature and learned to hunt with a bow and arrow, preferring the more personal and traditional method to firearms. She spent a lot of time in the woods, learned to merge the traditional with the modern for the best of both worlds. Always in awe of the natural world and all of its mysteries. She chose Cernunnos, the Green Man as her patron god and considered herself blessed by the goddess Diana for her skills in archery and the hunt.

These days, she spends most of the year living in a cabin in the woods not far from where she grew up, working at summer camps to teach children the ways of the forest and archery.
